Example Ring Lists

Refer to Create A Ring List for detailed instructions on creating a ring list. This topic gives brief instructions on creating various example ring lists.  The principles of using search dictionaries and selection criteria are useful to master and can be used to search for accounts in other programs such as Gx CRM\Contact Details and Customer Details and to apply Advanced Selections to reports to narrow down the customers included in the report. 

Ring List of Prospects With Type 01 or 02
Ring List of Customers With High Spend
Ring List of Customers With Specific Market Class, Rep and Postcode
Ring List of Customers With No Orders in the Last 90 Days
Ring List of Customers Invoiced In 2007

Ring List of Prospects With Type 01 or 02
1.   Select Gx CRM.
2.   Choose Add or Select a Ring List.
3.   Give the list a Ring List Code.   
4.   Give the list a Description.
5.   Click the radio button to select Prospects.   
6.   Double click the dictionary "Prospect Type". 
7.   Select the EQ (equals) search operand button.   
8.   Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example "01" or "02".
9.   Click the Ok button.
10.      Click the Select button.
11.      Click the Save button.

Ring List of Customers With High Spend
1.   Select Gx CRM.
2.   Choose Add or Select a Ring List.
3.   Give the list a Ring List Code.   
4.   Give the list a Description.
5.   Click the radio button to select Customers.   
6.   Double click the dictionary "Turnover This Year". 
7.   Select the GE (greater than or equals) search operand button.   
8.   Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example "5000".  This will select only accounts that have spent £5000 or more this year. 
9.   Click the Ok button.
10.      Click the Select button.
11.      Click the Save button.

Ring List of Customers With Specific Market Class, Rep and Postcode
1.   Select Gx CRM.
2.   Choose Add or Select a Ring List.
3.   Give the list a Ring List Code.   
4.   Give the list a Description.
5.   Click the radio button to select Customers.   
6.   Double click the dictionary "Market Classification". 
7.   Select the EQ (equals) search operand button.   
8.   Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example "0002" to select customers with market class 0002. 
9.   Click the Ok button.
10.      Double click the dictionary "Post Code". 
11.      Select the EQ (equals) search operand button.   
12.      Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example "DL8]" to select customers whose post code begins DL8. 
13.      Click the Ok button.
14.      Double click the dictionary "Rep Code". 
15.      Select the EQ (equals) search operand button.   
16.      Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example "12" to select only customers with rep code 12. 
17.      Click the Ok button.  The three dictionaries and the selection criteria set against them can be viewed in the Query window.
18.      Click the Select button to retrieve the accounts.
19.      Click the Save button.

Ring List of Customers With No Orders in the Last 90 Days
1.   Select Gx CRM.
2.   Choose Add or Select a Ring List.
3.   Give the list a Ring List Code.   
4.   Give the list a Description.
5.   Click the radio button to select Customers.   
6.   Double click the dictionary "No Orders in the Last 90 Days". 
7.   Select the EQ (equals) search operand button.   
8.   Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example type "1" to select customers with who have no orders in 90 days. If you type 0 instead it will select customers who have placed an order in the last 90 days.
9.   Click the Ok button.
10.      Click the Select button to retrieve the accounts.
11.      Click the Save button.

Ring List of Customers Invoiced In 2007
1.   Select Gx CRM.
2.   Choose Add or Select a Ring List.
3.   Give the list a Ring List Code.   
4.   Give the list a Description.
5.   Click the radio button to select Customers.   
6.   Double click the dictionary "Last Invoice Date". 
7.   the GE (greater than or equal to) search operand button.   
8.   Type in the required Selection Criteria enclosed by double quotes, in this example type "01/01/07" to select customers with who have been invoiced on or after 1st January 2007.
9.   Click the Ok button.
10.      Click the Select button to retrieve the accounts.
11.      Click the Save button.
